Abortionist Confesses 'Yes, I End Life'

Ten years ago John Salvi sprayed bullets into two Brookline abortion clinics, killing two people and wounding five. Boston Magazine used the anniversary of this crime to published the comments of a Brooline abortionist who performs as many as 10 abortions a day, twice a week. She states,

I have the utmost respect for life; I appreciate that life starts early in the womb, but also believe that I'm ending it for good reasons. Often I'm saving the woman, or I'm improving the lives of the other children in the family. I also believe that women have a life they have to consider. If a woman is working full-time, has one child already, and is barely getting by, having another child that would financially push her to go on public assistance is going to lessen the quality of her life. And it's also an issue for the child, if it would not have had a good life. Life's hard enough when you're wanted and everything's prepared for. So yes, I end life, but even when it's hard, it's for a good reason.
Frankly, I've never been able to get use to the hardness of individuals who boldly justify their premeditated murder of others. This doctor does agree that an unborn child is a human, a "child", a life worthy of "respect". However, according to this abortionist, if the child would be a burden to his or her parents, take resources away from other children, is not wanted or would have a life that is not "good" then murder is justified.

Thanks for the hat tip (I omitted to hat-tip NRO's Corner, but I'll rectify that). Consider yourself blogrolled, since somehow I hadn't done that already.

Pretty amazing stuff, that article. I hope folks will read the whole thing. She even seems to be sincerely meditating whether she's ready to die "for the cause" of ending one life to improve the "quality of [another] life." I mean, consider the odds of being an abortionist victim of a too-radical pro-lifer compared to the odds of being a fetal victim of any of thousands of doctors like this one. What narcissistic wallowing!

This ranks in with the "selective reduction" piece a little while back as one of the crassest pieces of pro-abortion cant I've ever read.
