Amazon to Offer Digital Picture Development (and more)
Web retailer Amazon.com on Monday said it would offer online photo developing services through a partnership with leading Internet photo service Shutterfly as it targets a fast-growing market. The decision means an end to the online retailer's partnership with Eastman Kodak Co. for developing digital pictures online.
Amazon said the service would allow customers to design photo cards, calendars, photo books and gifts such as mugs, T-shirts and other personalized products.
Simply amazing. After starting off as an online book dealer 10 years ago Amazon has applied its busness model to a wide variety of products (32 categories) and services, continuing to grow through innovation.
