Body Found but Tempe Woman Still Missing
In an unfortunate and bizarre turn to an already sad story, Tempe police found the body of a man Thursday night inside the home of a missing Tempe woman [more]. The discovery was apparently made while checking on the welfare of Taw Benderly, the boyfriend of the missing woman. While the police have yet to officially identify the body, Terri Bowersock, the daughter of the missing woman and owner of Terri's Consign and Design Furnishings, told reporters it is that of Taw Benderly (KFYI Radio).
Benderly became the prime investigative lead in the disappearance of Loretta Bowersock, 69, after police found contradictions in his account of events.
Unfortunately, Terri Bowersock has sought advice and direction from psychics, who have led her on several futile trips into the desert in search of her mother. I can't imagine the turmoil and stress that this situation is causing the Bowersock family. The willing exploitation of a fearful family by psychics, who have no insight at all into this situation, is deplorable.
Update: Police have confirmed that the body they found was that of Taw Benderly and that he committed suicide.
East Valley Tribune (1228/2004): While detectives comb Taw Benderly's property there is still no new evidence about the fate of Loretta Bowersock. Detectives are searching for any possible motive as to why Benderly might have wanted to harm Bowersock, Masters said.

As a Christian, I remember someone in the Old Testament who was called upon to interpret a King's dreams. Have you not read the book of Daniel? I'm sure that there were those who called him a soothsayer also. Of course, Christians point out that Daniel was a prophet BUT who are you to judge these people that are helping the Bowersock's out? Unless you know something that I don't, assume that she is being given guidance by someone led of God and be still. You do more damage with your tongue and could reach more people with Godly action!
