Iraqi Humiliation
Good job by the American press, which has exposed the mistreatment suffered by Iraqi prisoners by publishing embarrassing photos. Bravo! I’m sure those who were humiliated appreciate the integrity and nobility of the journalists who uncompromisingly distributed pictures of them in embarrassing situations. Their children and families will be forever grateful.
Imagine having been mistreated by being forced into humiliating circumstances only to find later that pictures of these circumstances were distributed by for-profit newspapers. People do not have the right to know.
On the otherhand, consider the outrage shown over humiliation of Iraqi prisoners compared to the lack of outrage over the mass graves, torture rooms and crimes against humanity committed by the former government of Iraq. This gross inconsistency reveals priorities and values on the part of the press and western political world. Will the errors of a few American soldiers be used to undermine a mission aimed at liberating a nation?

Civilian bodies burnt and/or beheaded vs. bad guys getting embarrassed. Now THERE's a tough choice... if you're the of an Amnesty International-type mentality. Terrorists love weak-willed liberalism.
