Jane Roe, of Roe vs. Wade, Endorses Bush
WASHINGTON, October 27, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Norma McCorvey, the former plaintiff in the Supreme Court's Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion, has endorsed President Bush for re-election. McCorvey became a pro-life Christian in 1995 and renounced her role in the landmark Court decision. She now works full-time to get that decision reversed. In 1998, she was received into the Catholic Church.
"In 2000, I voted for the first time, because I wanted to vote for President Bush," said McCorvey. "I am the former 'Jane Roe' of the Supreme Court's abortion decision Roe vs. Wade, and I am writing this note in my personal capacity, not as the representative of any organization.
This year I am going to vote to re-elect President Bush, because he is committed to the cause of life and wants our nation to make room to welcome and protect every unborn child. Unless we do that, we can never have a world of social justice."
She concluded, "I urge all my pro-life friends to likewise vote for the President."

I was thinking of her just a few days ago... This is good news for the Bush campaign.
Unfortunately, I doubt that a Bush presidency in this next term would be much of a threat to Roe v. Wade. Bush has never been much of a true believer in the pro-life cause.
By the way, Sandra Cano, the plaintiff in the companion case, Doe v. Bolton, is also now pro-life.
