Late Night Blogging and Obesity

People who sleep less are more likely to be obese, according to a 15-year long research study published today. It turns out the hormone ghrelin, which triggers feelings of hunger, is 15 percent higher in individuals who regularly sleep for five hours as compared to those who sleep for eight. Those with less sleep also have 15 per cent less leptin, a hormone that supresses hunger. [more from WebMD]

What does this say about the late night pajama wearing bloggers? I'm not sure ... but I'm going to bed early.

Wow, so it has nothing to do with eating huh.

I would think if you sleep less you would have more time to eat, thus you get fatter.

Makes sense to me :)
