A very intersting, um … "accident."
Banach managed to shine his green YAG laser into the cockpit of a moving plane at 3,000 feet, temporarily blinding both the pilot and co-pilot. Two nights later, he got lucky enought to hit the cockpit of a police helicopter. Then he lied to the police and the FBI, blamed the second incident on his daughter and finally (after flunking a polygraph) admitted that he'd lied under questioning.
Even Lemony Snicket couldn't match THAT series of unfortunate events.
