Omissions in Arafat’s Obituary

The death of Yasser Arafat has spurred the United Nations to fly its flag at half-staff, noting his supposed contribution to peace in the Middle East. Glowing tributes were paid to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat at a memorial meeting held at the United Nations General Assembly "highlighting his historic acceptance of the principle of peaceful coexistence between Israel and a future Palestinian State and regretted that he did not live to see its realization. "

What the U.N. failed to note in its memorial service is the place in history Arafat holds as the father of modern terrorism. He presided over the operation resulting in the massacre of the Israeli Olympic athletes in Munich by Black September in 1972. The following year Arafat became the first Arab terrorist to target Americans. [more] Some call the fallen leader a monster.

Israel was among the Nations that did not memorialized the deceased terrorist and militants, convinced Israel poisoned Arafat, have vowed revenge attacks on the Jewish state [more]. Typical. Use manufactured speculative paranoid conspiracy theories (that have been debunked by French officials) to justify the bombings of civilians and to place Arafat in the crowded hall of terrorist martyrs.

Some mystery does indeed surround Arafat’s death that has been fueled by the lack of a statement by medical personel on the cause of death [more]. However, most of the speculation is related to whether or not he died of AIDS.
