Poltical Party Milestones

A few milestones from Kevin McCullough [hat tip: Lambertus Meyer]

Only One Campaign:

  • Threatened to sue publishers over material that was written about their candidate and his controversial time spent in uniform.

  • Made threats to sue TV stations for airing the commercials of those who sought to broadcast critical messages of that campaign's candidate.

  • Was able to get bookstores to pull negative manuscripts that disputed its candidate's claims from their inventory.
Aided and coordinated its efforts with the major news operations.

  • Benefited from the corrupt use of fraudulent documents by a major news operation

  • Released a slanderous charge of its opponent's military background simultaneously with the "fraudulent documents" story

  • Consistently criticized our fighting men and women, and said to the world that their actions are a colossal error.

  • Promised to cut taxes, while its candidates have voted against every tax cut in the last four years

  • Promised to deliver over $300 billion of new services, won't explain how they will pay for them, and promised to roll back the tax cuts you have benefited from.

  • Called everyone America "insane" or "crazy" if they were to cast a vote for the opposition

  • Questioned the patriotic military service of the other candidate and then refused to release his own service records.
  • Promised that its candidate would put the scrutiny of America's security under the passage of a "global test."

  • Promised to shut down future weapons programs that give us the edge in the War on Terror.

Do you have any to add?

How quickly we all forget the boasting Cheney did for being the man who "shut down the most weapons programs."

You don't read enough...
