Private Schools Preferred by Educators

Teachers in urban public schools send their own children to private schools at nearly double the national rate of private-school attendance, according to a new study by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute in Washington, D.C. [Arizona Republic].

In La Shawn Barber's commentary on the article she notes that politicians, and in particular those who oppose school choice, opt for private schools as well. School choice via vouchers is wrought with danger because the finanicial strings are held by the same government that controls government schools. However, the indictment holds against those who force taxpayers to fund the schools that pay their salary and push their liberal agenda while sending their own children elsewhere.

While we are on the topic of education, check out La Shawn Barber's article posted on BlogForBush. Here are a few snippets:

First of all, black kids are already doomed in failing government schools run by socialist (and a few Marxist) bureaucrats. They know how to negotiate condoms and cucumbers, but they can't read!

[snip]

Why black liberals want to protect a substandard school system, which disproportionately harms black children, is a mystery I'll take to my grave.

It's probably because the Civil Rights movement, a noble cause, was coupled with the Entitlement Rights movement, which ruined any prospect of black success and allowed for the black populace to be pretty much brainwashed by those who are in charge of Federal Nanny Care.
