Short-Term Missions and MTW
"It's not worth the money to send short term missionaries!" some say. "Send long-term missionaries or give it to indigenous church planters," others say. "Send only those who are fully trained and committed for the long haul." [more]

Short-term mission trips are good. I am a short-term missionary. I can definetly say that by me doing short-term mission it has/will prepare me for the calling of long-term mission if that's my calling. God doesn't call the equiped, He equips the called. I know that if God called me to do long term missions without me even going on one short term mission it would be very difficult. Short term mission is important and it prepares those that are called for a long term calling
