Terrorists Strike London

A series of coordinated bomb blasts have hit central London today, at the height of the morning rush hour. Reports suggest at least 41 people have been killed, and there may be more than 1,000 injured. [Guardian Blog].

Michelle Malkin quotes news sources indicating that Al Qaeda is responsible.

Tony Blair responded with valor:

Earlier, a shaken Blair said, "Whatever they do, it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country and in other civilized nations throughout the world."

"We will not allow violence to change our societies or our values nor will we allow it to stop the work of this summit," Blair said in a statement on behalf of the Group of Eight leaders and the heads of other nations meeting here. "We will continue our deliberations in the interest of a better world."

On this dark day, we stand with our friends in Britain, praying and supporting.
