The Explosive Growth of Christianity

According to Josh Claybourn, Christianity is exploding in Asian and Africa and is arguably the fastest growing religion in the world.

He writes,

When historians go to record human history over the last century, the rise and fall of communism and the expansion of American and capitalistic ideals may well be the dominant theme. But the explosion of Christianity is one fact that probably deserves a place in the record, but it seems to have occurred without many people in the West noticing.

Within twenty-five years the World population of Christians is expected to grow to 2.6 billion with 67 percent living in Africa, Asia, or Latin America.

Some of the most rapid growth is occuring where persecution is the most intense. For example, despite extreme persecution, there are as many as 28,000 new converts a day in communist China.

The entire post is well done and worth reading.
