The Real Terri Schiavo

If you have only read the Mainstream Media accounts about Terri Schiavo, the Florida woman whose husband wants to Euthanasize, Dory at Wittenburg Gate has just published an excellent overview that articulates Terri's humanity (no, she is not in a coma) and the injustice of her husband and the judicial system.

Why doesn't he just divorce her. He is already living in sin. One sin is as good as another. He will still pay the same price for murder at his final judgement. He's having fun on this earth with the other woman and they will DIE in sin anyway. Leave Terri's mom and dad to take care of her as they have been doing. May God be with Terri and all the decision makers in deciding her life, not her death. Lot's of love to all involved so that your hearts may turn to God for the answer to Terri's life. God bless you my sister in Christ, my sweet Terri.

This situation is one that many of us will not experience in our lifetimes...regardless of that fact, the only people who should pass judgement on this situation are the judges appointed (and elected into position by Florida citizens) to the case. Besides, what does the Bible say about judging other people?...what does it say about gossip? You can't listen to anybody discuss this issue without hearing about the husband..."He's has a kid with another woman...He just wants the insurance money...He's heartless..." Rather than discuss our opinions about the situation, condemn courts decisions, and pass judgement on the husband, we should all be praying that God's Will be carried out through the courts...not that her feeding tube remain in place, or that she be given more time by another appeal, BUT THAT GOD'S WILL BE DONE, whatever His Will is...I've always been told that you accomplish more by talking to God than you do talking to people...And we need not to forget that He is always in control & His plan is perfect...God Bless.

The unfortunate thing is that Judges in this case that were appointed to up hold the laws that were made by our LAWMAKERS did not up
hold and utilize the checks and balances of
the laws that are available to them!
Red flags were waved in front of these
judges faces over and over again by the
family.
When Judges do not listen to warnings or see signs, One should question their jugdement to perform the duties of their job.
This case puts not only Terri's life in danger. But All of our lives in danger!
Why did these judges not compel Mr.Schiavo to answer what could have been a very simple question.
Why he did not seek immediate upholding of Terri's alledged wishes"?
This case should have been throw out just on Mr. Schiavos delay alone.
Mr.Schiavo delayed when it suited his wants and needs.
Then again, Terri was useful up to the point of winning the lawsuits for money by showing how she needed it for the damage that was done to her by the medical community.
Mr. Schiavo did not seem to have any problem calling Malpractice on Medical professionals who (he called on) were trying to save Terri's life.
Why did the Judges not compel Mr. Schiavo to provide rehabilition, and proper health care of his wife and ward with that money?
Why did the Judges not compel him to even follow the basic rights of a patient?
Why was Mr. Schiavo not compelled by these Jugdes to provide a Balanced or accurate accounting of his duties as a guardian?
It's one thing for a Judge to maybe, overlook something once but not when it is repeatedly stuck in a judges face.
I ask the government of Florida, and the United States of America and the people.
What then? What is the point of having a guardianship division, or judges to oversee a guardianship division? To just spend our tax payers money for salaries? What have we gotten for our money?
If our judges are not going to order accountings, compel guardians to do their jobs in accurate and timely fashion when warnings are raised,or consequence guardians who perjury themselves, and who don't do their jobs in the best interest of the ward.
In the Florida laws that relate to Guardianships,
The lawmakers repeatedly stated in the laws that they created that the Guardian and the courts are to ACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE WARD.
If they act in the best interest of the ward we as a society will benefit.
If they do not we all will suffer.
Why did the Judges fail to see conflicts of interests? If a man such as Mr. Schiavo has the brass to announces that he has a finacee' while his wife Terri was still alive, and he is asking the court to have her life to be terminated.
If a man such as Mr.Schiavo has been involved in an adulterous-or at this point it could even be stated an unlawful common law or bigamist relationship by virtue of having two children and claiming he has a finacee'.
If this isn't a reason for a Judge to sit up pay attention, and smell the coffee.
Then I don't know what is?
Why did the Judges fail to rule on the side of caution? Where does a judge have the right to order an Execution in a guadianship? If this was not a case where a jury was needed and under guardianships it can be used I don't no on a time it was needed more.
Terri Schiavo is not without basic brain function.
She is NOT brain dead!
In some ways, she has as much if not more indepentant function than Christopher Reeves had.
She can at least breath on her own. That is basic function.
Who is to say that Christopher didn't have thoughts of wanting to die when he was first diagnosed?
Who is to say that he didn't have to learn how to eat and talk with a trac tube.
Maybe,he might have had to be tube fed.
It's possible you know.
Christopher Reeves had higher function because he could talk. That's the a big difference here. Ease of communication, and the ease of being able to express ones wishes about one's situation.
Without speech it is harder to assess what is going on inside a person, and easier for others to get away with what ever they want,to and that includes murder.
Why will Mr. Schiavo not let Terri go.
The state could compel him to turn over the money to a new guardian that was secured for Terri's care because of her injuries.
Mr.Schiavo might have to provide an truthful and accurate accounting as a guardian and might be in jeopardy of legal consequences himself should someone actually make the effort to check his actions against the paperwork.
Guardians are suppose to provide a yearly as well as a final accounting.
If Terris dead is dead by then I can see.
Judges and the clerks shrugging their shoulders to move on to the next case.
The way Judges and clerks did years ago when I had contact with that system.
Why, will Mr. Schiavo not let Terri go...
he only has a few more weeks until he can move on with his life with his new family.
If this was a case in which a murder had already occurred police detectives and attorneys could have built a case had it tried and convicted on motive and opportunity. Pay attention people!!!!
Our Law makers need call a hearing and to ask Why the good laws they set up to protect the helpless, and the citizens were so blantanly and repeatedly ignored, and overlooked by individuals who were suppose to be overseeing and administering them.
The sad thing is that the one thing the court will probably not fail to compel is to have Mr.Schiavo have the tube removed if the government and it's law makers do not step in and question why the court is creating laws and not punishing violations on the law that already exsist.
Our Lawmakers need to order a stop to this whole thing BEFORE it results in a death.!
Before it is allowed to go any further in this life and death case.
The Goverment issued the laws of guadianships and marriage. The Government should be allowed to revoke and punish when those rules and the rights under those laws are in violation as they are in this case.
I don't know about the rest of you but I feel that my and my childs consitutional rights are being endangered by this case.

Stephanie,

By our Lord, the disciples,Paul and the
prophets we have examples to take our fellow peers, judges, adminstrators to task when they violate the law. We are suppose to do it esp.when they violate God's laws.
We are allowed to Judge or identify the behavior. Jesus had no problems looking the pharisees in the eye, and calling them liars
and false teachers,and abusers.
Paul called a man committing incest to task
and told the congration to put him out.
Paul also fussed the congregation out for
having condoned the behavior in the first place.
John the Baptist didn't back down from telling Herod that he was committing adultery or incest.
Because,it would be better for the person to have a chance to repent in this life and turn from what they are doing that is wrong.
Than stand before the Lords Judgement seat.
We are not to pronounce condemnation judgement. Because anyone may eventaully repent and turn.
I would like nothing better than for Mr. Schiavo to look at his own actions. Before he adds one more violation of God's law(sin) onto his list. putting Terri's death on his head, and ours if we don't speak up!
