Thoughts on Worship
All of creation praises God by virtue of its being and according to the Creator's design.
- Habakkuk 2:14 "For the earth will be {A} filled With the knowledge of the glory {b} of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.
- Psalms 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing [to] thy name. Selah.
- Isaiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
- Luke 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Man, as a created being, by nature serves someone or something. What is your most sacred objective and what are the beliefs you will not compromise? What are the fundamental desires that motivate you to action? What endeavor do you serve with the precious time of your life? Man submits his will to a set of goals or priorities that reflect what or whom he worships. The question is not "does man worship" but rather "what or who does man worship".
... For where your treasure is there will your heart be also (Matthew 6:21).
